Duck® brand Duct Tape Teams up with Lowe’s® and Jimmie Johnson

One lucky person will get the chance to be Jimmie Johnson’s honorary “Duct Tape Man for a Day,” during one race next year, thanks to Duck® brand duct tape, Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, and Hendrick Motorsports.

The “Duct Tape Man for a Day” sweepstakes will award one winner and a guest round-trip airfare, accommodations and tickets to a professional stock car race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC on October 15, 2005. The pair will also receive race-day shirts, $1,000 cash, windbreakers, and one case of Duck® brand 200MPH tape, from Henkel Consumer Adhesives, Inc., the official duct tape supplier of Team Lowe’s Racing.

Participants can enter the sweepstakes via mail-in entry, or online at www.ducktapeclub.com/48, by filling out a brief survey and an entry form. The sweepstakes will begin February 20, 2005 and ends August 31, 2005.

Jimmie Johnson, driver of the #48 car, was the winner of the 2003 Winston All-Star Race and the Coca Cola 600, both held at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. Johnson drives for Hendrick Motorsports in the Jeff Gordon-owned car.

Henkel Consumer Adhesives, Inc., the marketer of Duck brand duct tape, also supplies Lowe’s with ProPainter’s Plus™ masking tapes, Loctite® glues and adhesives, and Easy Liner™ shelf liner products.
