MAKE A DUCK® TAPE PENCIL CASE*

Supplies You will need:

  • DuckŪ brand duct tape
  • Scissors or utility knife
  • Ruler or measuring tape
  • Cutting board or protective surface
  Step 1: Create a fabric that is three strips wide with your desired colors. (See placemat instructions, steps 2-9 for fabric instructions.)


Step 2: Create two duct tape fabrics that each measure 8½ inches in length and 3 inches in height. (See placemat instructions, steps 2-9 for fabric instructions.)
step3 Step 3: Roll fabric into a cylindrical shape and tape down the seam.
step4 Step 4: Fold down one end of the cylinder and secure it with a piece of tape.
  Step 5: Repeat Step 2 and create a second fabric for the cover that is three strips wide.

Step 6: Wrap the fabric around the opening of the cylinder so it’s slightly larger. Make sure there is enough room for the lid to easily slide on and off. Tape down the seam.

  Step 7: Fold down the opposite end of the cylinder and close off the top with a piece of tape as done in Step 4.
Pencil Case Step 8: Add decorations with different colors and designs. Your new case should be large enough to hold 5-6 pencils!
