| HOW TO MAKE A DUCT TAPE WALLET | ||
Click here to print this page. Step
1: Make a duct tape swatch of "fabric" that is seven inches long
by four strips wide. To do this, simply: A: Lay a strip of duct tape sticky side up on your work surface and place a second strip sticky side up so it slightly overlaps the edge of the first strip. Repeat until you have four strips of duct tape overlapping B: Turn the sheet so the sticky-side-up strips run vertically and lay a strip sticky side down over the sheet. Repeat with additional strips of duct tape until the sticky sides are covered. Don't forget to overlap the edges. C: Trim off edges. |
||
Step
2: Fold the sheet in half so you have a rectangle. |
||
Step
3: Use a piece of tape about 4 inches long to seal the edge on one
of the short sides of the rectangle. Trim off the extra tape. |
||
Step
4: Fold the wallet in half so the short sides line up. Note: Do this
before taping the other side so that the wallet will fold without bulges. |
||
Step
5: Keep the wallet in the folded position, trim any excess, and tape
the other side. |
||
Options: Personalize
the wallet with initials, favorite colors, or a personal trademark (such
as a fish if Dad loves fishing or use Camouflage Duck Tape® for the Dad
who’s a hunter). |
